Best speaker-based structure tree for speaker verification

چکیده
In this paper we study the use of the Wavelet transform for textdependent speaker verification purposes. A new algorithm to construct the best admissible tree is proposed which has been used to obtain a speaker dependent tree library. Every tree in this library corresponds to the best structure for a given speaker, therefore the extracted parameters from a given tree are well suited and discriminative to the considered speaker and hence appropriate for speaker verification purposes. Experiments have been conducted using data extracted from the Yoho database. The results that have been obtained show a good level of efficiency and robustness compared to those which can be obtained by using MFCC or other wavelets and wavelets-based methods.

Using Exciting and Spectral Envelope Information and Matrix Quantization for Improvement of the Speaker Verification Systems
Speaker verification from talking a few words of sentences has many applications. Many methods as DTW, HMM, VQ and MQ can be used for speaker verification. We applied MQ for its precise, reliable and robust performance with computational simplicity. We also used pitch frequency and log gain contour for further improvement of the system performance.
متن کاملSpeaker characterization using principal component analysis and wavelet transform for speaker verification
In this paper, we investigate the use of the Wavelet Transform for text-dependent and text-independent Speaker Verification tasks. We have introduced a Principal Component Analysis based wavelet transform to perform frequencies segmentation with levels decomposition. A speaker dependent library tree has been built, corresponding to the best structure for a given speaker. The constructed tree is...

متن کاملAcoustic Forest for SMAP-Based Speaker Verification
In speaker verification, structural maximum-a-posteriori (SMAP) adaptation for Gaussian mixture model (GMM) has been proven effective, especially when the speech segment is very short. In SMAP adaptation, an acoustic tree of Gaussian components is constructed to represent the hierarchical acoustic space. Until now, however, there has been no clear way to automatically find the optimal tree stru...
متن کاملEnhancing the robustness of Bayesian methods for text-independent automatic speaker verification
In this paper we present the main advances of the IRISA speech group from 2001 to 2004 in robust methods for Bayesian adaptation of speaker models and Bayesian decision. The probabilistic framework and the state-of-the-art Bayesian approach for automatic speaker verification are first recalled. We then describe two original contributions for robust Bayesian decision. The first one is a score no...
